National Lottery Heritage Fund evaluation experience and a growing portfolio of heritage and cultural commissions across the UK.
Hands-on experience as both sides of the relationship: we know what useful evaluation actually looks like, and what just sits in a drawer.

You have an existing survey, feedback form or data collection tool that isn't quite working. We review it, identify what's missing or unclear, and return it tightened and fit for purpose.
You provide: Your existing tool and a brief on what it needs to capture
You get: Revised tool with tracked changes and a short note on what we changed and why

Starting from nothing and not sure what you need to measure or how? We map your outcomes and identify the simplest, most proportionate way to capture evidence of impact.
You provide: Project overview, aims and any funder requirements
You get: One-page evaluation framework with recommended methods and a suggested tool list

Got a strategy or evaluation plan that's drifted from what your team actually does day to day? Or one that looked good on paper for the funder but isn't really helping you understand your impact? We give it a fresh, outside read, looking at how your activities connect to your bigger goals, where the gaps are, and what's worth measuring. You'll come away with a clear, practical plan you can actually use.
You book: a 90–120 minute online review session
You provide: your strategy or plan, any existing measurement framework, and a note on who from your team should join
We do: read everything in advance, facilitate the session, write it up
You get: a one-page "what to keep, what to adjust, what to measure" summary your team can sign off and put into action straight away

Doing the same sessions you’ve always done, but not getting the outcomes/engagement you want? We’ll facilitate a creative but structured session and send you a concise summary with up to ten actions you can start this month, plus quick ideas on how to measure success.
You book: a 90-120 min online workshop.

For organisations who need sustained evaluation support, not just a one-off piece of work. We work with clients in two ways:
Project evaluation commissions: End-to-end evaluation for funded projects, typically 6-24 months. We design your framework, build your tools, support delivery, and produce interim and final reports you can use in future funding bids. Particularly experienced with NLHF-funded heritage and community projects. Scoped and costed per project.
Evaluation retainer: An experienced evaluator on hand as and when, without commissioning a full project each time. A set number of hours per month for advice, tool reviews, data sense-checks or report feedback. From £500/month for 4-6 hours (min 3 months).
All longer-term work begins with a free scoping conversation.
