At Curious Roots Consulting, equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) are not just values - they are guiding principles that shape how we work, who we work with, and the kinds of questions we ask in our evaluations.
Our Commitment
We are committed to:
- Creating inclusive spaces where all participants, partners and communities feel respected and heard
- Challenging bias in both the content and process of evaluation
- Amplifying underrepresented voices, particularly in heritage, education and community sectors
- Designing accessible engagement methods that consider language, literacy, disability, neurodiversity, digital access, and cultural context
- Reflecting on our own positionality and recognising power dynamics inherent in evaluation work
How We Embed EDI
- Tailoring evaluation tools and approaches to meet the needs of diverse participants
- Using plain English and accessible formats wherever possible
- Building relationships with partners who are also committed to inclusive practice
- Seeking feedback and learning from participants and collaborators about how we can do better
- Ensuring that findings and recommendations reflect the experiences of marginalised or seldom-heard groups
An Ongoing Journey
Curious Roots Consulting is a one-person consultancy with a deep commitment to continuous learning. We acknowledge that equity and inclusion are ongoing practices, not fixed outcomes. We are open to feedback and welcome opportunities to improve.
